Linda Roemisch

Painting for me is a personal journey of discovery, storytelling and sharing. There’s no better way to get to know a place than to stand and paint for a couple of hours. There is sense of timelessness and spiritual intimacy that I wouldn't get by just simply observing and passing by.  I'm always looking  for the light, shadow and simplification of a scene. It would be easy to literally just copy nature however when I let go of that concept I'm allowed to freely paint and create a memory, a feeling; a story of my own.
